What are custom patches?
Custom patches are like the regular patches you can sew or iron onto your clothing, with one major difference – you control the design. That makes them great for businesses that want to offer custom-made patches as promotional items, as well as anybody who just wants to express their own style with their patches.
How are custom patches made?
For instance, custom embroidered patches tell you exactly how they’re made – your design is embroidered onto the patch ready for you to sew it onto an item of clothing. Die cutting is different (your patch is cut to order and you can use more complex shapes), as are custom iron-on patches. These still use embroidery, but there’s no sewing involved. You use heat to transfer the patch to your clothing.
What can I use custom patches for?
On a more business-focused side, custom-made patches are perfect promotional products. Their small (the perfect size for gift bags) and you can customize them with your branding, too. Plus, promo products are super effective – up to 85% of people who receive them can recall the brand that gave them the product.
Can I design my own custom patch?
After you’ve chosen the type of patch you want, just upload your artwork to the Custom Patches web portal. We take it from there – creating a proof for you to approve before we move into production. You can even use several types of art work within the same order.
Note – Custom Patches doesn’t create patches that contain copyrighted materials unless you can prove ownership or the copyright or have permission to use it.
What is the typical turnaround time for custom patches?
On the production side, we typically create your patches within three-to-five business days, once you’ve approved your proof. Note that especially larger orders (such as custom bulk orders) may take longer. Upon completion of production, we ship your patches to you using your chosen shipping method. Rush shipping means you get your patches in one or two days, with free shipping typically taking up to 10 business days.
Can I order a small quantity of custom patches?
Standard order quantities at Custom Patches range from 25 to 100,000. So, you’re covered if you have an amazing patch design in mind and just want to get one patch for yourself.
Can I choose different attachment options for my patches?
How do I care for garments with attached patches?
Hand washing is the better choice.
Use a bowl of warm water and a mild laundry detergent. Slowly handwash, making sure not to tug at the patch, and try not to leave the patched part of the garment submerged in water for too long.
